“This dangerous, violent felon was brought to justice by some brave officers, training and technology. An Automated License Plate Reader alerted Officer Meyer to the stolen vehicle last night at about 11:45PM. The 40 year old Fond du Lac man driving the vehicle was a felon, wanted in connection with burglaries in the Oshkosh area. During the pursuit, Officer Meyer used a Pursuit Intervention Technique (PIT) to end the chase and bring the vehicle to a stop. All Greenfield officers are trained in the PIT maneuver and are encouraged to use it to end a pursuit a soon a possible. The suspect remains in the county jail awaiting numerous charges. His 42 year old female passenger is also in custody for drug possession.”
