DASHCAM: Kidnapper Chased, Extracted from Truck in Ohio

June 16, 2016

Video from the Ohio State Highway Patrol shows troopers chase after a suspect, then smash through the windshield to reach him.

The chase began on Interstate 71 in Warren County when the pickup truck was stopped for reckless driving.

When a woman in the car told a trooper she needed help, the driver took off.  The suspect led troopers on a chase until he lost control. Dash cam video shows the troopers smashing windows to get to the suspect.  He now faces several charges including kidnapping, felonious assault, and fleeing and eluding.

The female passenger suffered minor injuries. The officer, who was dragged a short distance, was unharmed.
