From RFNOnline.com:

For the second time in less than a week, Sheriff’s Deputies engaged in a high-speed pursuit with what sources say is a violent gang member.

According to Officials, around 12:40 p.m. Warrants Units and Patrol Deputies tried to arrest 33-year-old Erick Leslie Batta at his home on Becky Lane in Hudson. Before they could detain Batta, he fled in a 2005 Ford Quad Cab pickup and led deputies on a high-speed pursuit to Denton Road and then southbound on US-19. When Batta reached the intersection of Fox Hollow Drive he crashed into another vehicle and then into a light pole.

The victim in the other vehicle was not seriously injured.

Batta was transported to an area hospital for treatment and will be charged with multiple felonies upon his release.
