Gary Sinise, Sheriff Mark Lamb & Officers Nationwide Make National LEO Hall of Fame Induction a Success

March 29, 2022

The National Law Enforcement Officer Hall of Fame induction ceremony conducted last week in Toledo was by all counts a tremendous success. “Calibre Press could not be prouder to be a part of this outstanding organization and to be partnered with Megan Stockburger and Adam Davenport whose tireless efforts made this important event possible,” said Calibre CEO Scott Buhrmaster. “Realistically, it’s more than an event. It’s a movement. A movement to stand boldly in the face of resistance and shine light on the incredible work of officers around the country who go unsung, yet remain dedicated to protecting and assisting countless people every day.”

Hosted by frequent national news contributor and outspoken tough-on-crime law enforcer Sheriff Mark Lamb of Pinal Co., AZ, the dinner gathering brought officers and their families and supporters from across the nation together to honor this year’s inductees, to pay tribute to the fallen and to acknowledge the work and dedication of every officer in the country.

Following a special message from actor and fervent law enforcement supporter, Gary Sinise, emcee Sheriff Lamb shared powerful words of encouragement, motivation and admiration for the men and women who continue to face the risks and stresses of the job to serve and protect others. Prior to welcoming this year’s inductees to the stage, Detective Matt Thornton from the Zion, IL Police Department courageously shared his gripping story of triumph in the face of unexpected emotional devastation after becoming an officer. His much-needed message of hope touched everyone in attendance deeply.

As each new LEO Hall of Fame inductee was introduced by those who nominated them, the pride and admiration for these outstanding individuals that penetrated the room was palpable. Without fail, the most prevalent theme in each inductee’s acceptance speech was one of humility, dedication and admiration for all of their fellow officers. The tempered personal pride combined with a deep sense of teamwork and unity embodied what makes those committed to this job so impressive. In a time when law enforcement continues to face demoralizing scorn and disrespect, this event served as a tremendously refreshing reminder of how priceless the courageous men and women who bear the badge and those who support them are to this country.

Nominations for future National LEO Hall of Fame inductees have continued to flow in from across the country. If you would like to nominate a fellow officer, active or retired, or an outstanding law enforcement supporter please CLICK HERE for a 2023 nomination form.

SPECIAL THANKS to our sponsors Vector Solutions, Team One Network and all the other organizations who generously supported this year’s induction ceremony. We’re deeply grateful to all of them.
