2022 – Detective Scott Pietrzak


Scott Pietrzak has been in law enforcement for 28 years and is a detective with the Mesa Police Department in Arizona. He has investigated everything from burglaries to homicides and was a violent crimes detective for 6 years. Scott has been assigned to the Digital Forensics-Internet Crimes Against Children Unit (ICAC) for the past 6 years. Scott’s investigation range from child pornography to online predator sting operations, which have been extremely successful. Scott has become the local expert on these investigations and has been interviewed several times on local news channels for his department Scott has also testified as an expert witness for several court cases involving these investigations.

Scott teaches at the Mesa police Academy and has taught High Risk Vehicle Stops, Digital Forensic and ICAC Familiarization to the new police recruits. Scott also teaches undercover chatting to local police departments throughout Arizona.

Scott is the creator and owner of Online Safety Specialists  and is dedicated to  teaching and bridging  the  gap  between  kids  and  parents  about  the  risks  of  chatting  online  and has investigated the topics he covers in his presentation. Scott has taught private classes as well as teacher workshops,  Arizona School counselor training,  and numerous classes for middle and high schools throughout the state.

Scott also travels throughout the United states teaching law enforcement agencies how to chat with online predators. Scott has a bachelor’s degree in Adult and Technical Education through Northern Arizona. Scott currently teaches Stopping Online Child Predators.
