Video: Police Pull Man From Burning Car

February 11, 2015

A recently released video shows two sheriff’s deputies from Okaloosa County, Fla., rescue an intoxicated man from behind the wheel of a burning car on Christmas morning.

With flames spreading from the back of the car to the front, Keyes smashed the car’s window open with his flashlight, according to the video, released by the sheriff’s office on Thursday. The two deputies then pulled the man from the vehicle.

The rescued man was treated for minor burns and smoke inhalation.

On Thursday, the sheriff’s office gave the deputies its Medal of Merit awards for their actions.

Well done!
