DASHCAM: Officer Saved by Ballistic Vest

The Monroe County Sheriff’s Office said Timothy Thomas, 25, is accused of firing a gun at Deputy Joshua Gordon on Oct. 24, following a chase on Stock Island.

Deputies had been searching for Thomas in connection with a robbery. The deputy was shot in the chest as he tried to apprehend Thomas. Authorities said Gordon was wearing a bulletproof vest and wasn’t injured.
